BumbleKey is built and operated by Mason Software Labs Limited, a software company registered in Ireland.
Every software vendor ends up building some version of a licensing system — generating keys, checking them at runtime, handling seats and activations, dealing with billing edge cases. It's rarely the interesting part of the product, and getting it wrong is expensive: an outage in your billing system shouldn't be able to lock every one of your customers out of the software they already paid for.
We built BumbleKey to be the licensing backend we wanted to use ourselves: a validation API that stays up independently of everything else, a management API for teams that want to automate, and a dashboard for everyone else.
The endpoint your customers' software depends on at runtime is isolated from billing, admin, and everything else — so a problem anywhere else in the system can't take it down.
We're a processor, not an owner, of the data you store with us. Tenant isolation is enforced in application code and at the database level.
You decide whether validation fails open or closed when something goes wrong — we don't make that call for you.
A trial ending or a subscription lapsing never invalidates keys you've already issued. Your Licensees are never collateral damage of a billing hiccup.
